Garlic Ingredient

Garlic as ingredient of your cooks can be from Indonesia and other Asian countries. Garlic have biological name Allium sativum, a perennial herb related to the onion, is pungent bulb composed of cloves surrounded by a thin white or purplish sheath.

Beside give a special flavor, garlic can be functioned as a medicine, and as a germicide, since its juice contains the antibiotic oil alicin.

Garlic is planted by individual cloves, when the green top ripen and fall over, the bulb are pulled. Garlic can be stored for several months if kept dry and cool.
